Types of Seating Options in Frontier Airlines

Child Policy

Frontier Airlines is generous enough to guarantee adjacent seats to the passengers above 13 years traveling with one or more children below 13 years under the specified conditions:

  • Subject to availability of the adjacent seats on the same cabin.
  • Both the child and adult are on the same reservation.
  • If the adult chooses seats for the entire reservation or skip seats for the entire reservation and no changes are made to the assigned seats.
  • If there is a possibility of seating all the children along with the accompanying adult adjacent to each other.
  • These seating assignments are allocated the day before your scheduled departure.
Lap Infants
  • Children who are 7 days old up to 2 years are considered Lap Infants.
  • It is mandatory for the passengers to carry an age proof of your infant, like date of birth, etc.
  • The airline doesn't allow lap infants to any seat with airbag seat belt that is mostly row 1 on most Frontier aircrafts.
  • If there are two adults with two lap children, you cannot sit on the same side of the row because the aircraft has only four oxygen masks every three seats.
  • If you're traveling with two infants alone, then you have to keep one child on your lap and you have to purchase a ticket and approved car seat for your second child.

  • The airline will not provide any oxygen to the pets during an emergency.

  • The travel containers of your pet must be large enough to fit into the space under the seat in front of you and your pet must be able to roam around inside the container with ease.
  • Your pet container must not weigh more than 18x14x8 inches and it must be soft-sided ones for comfort.

  • It must include the species, name, date of vaccination, type of vaccine, and other immunization protocols.

Flight Change, Cancellation and Refund Policies

The Flight Change, Cancellation, and Refund Policies of Frontier Airlines are:

  • If you’ve made your booking 60 days prior to your scheduled departure then you do not have to pay any flight change fees. So, the earlier you book, the easier it is to change your flight.
  • From the 59th day to 7 days prior to your scheduled departure, the airline charges $49 per person per direction for flight change
  • If you’re wishing to change your flight 6 days prior to departure, you have to pay $99 per person per direction.
  • All cancellations and flight changes must be made prior to your scheduled departure. According to the airline, you must check-in 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure and board 20 minutes before flight departure, so if you fail to abide by these rules, you’ll be marked as a no-show. In this scenario, all future flights including return flights in this category will be considered as No Show by the airline.
  • If you're willing for a flight change, you must understand that it is subject to availability and difference in fares.
  • If you're traveling with Frontier Airlines and your new itinerary is lower on value than your old itinerary, the airline will not provide you with airline credit or voucher.
  • In case of cancellation of your itinerary, you’ll receive a travel credit which will include cancellation fees, and other carrier charges deductions.
  • All the changes and cancellations you wish to make with Frontier Airlines are subject to their Contract of Carriage.

  • If you're canceling your ticket within 24 hours of your booking, you’re eligible for a full refund without any deductions of cancellation fees.
  • You have to cancel at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure otherwise the airline will charge service fees and the amount contributing to the no-show part of your itinerary.
