Frontier Airlines is a US-based budget-friendly airline service provider. It is considered an ultra-low-cost carrier in America. The airline has its headquarters in Denver, Colorado. The primary hub of Frontier Airlines is located at Denver International Airport. The airline has a fleet size of 116, covering over 100 destinations in the United States and 31 destinations internationally.

Types of Seating Options in Frontier Airlines

Frontier Airlines offer two types of seating options to their passengers,

Standard Seating.

• The seats provided in the Standard Seating option are comfortable, with a modern touch to the design of the seats.
• The seats are pre-reclined and have extra personal space.
• The seats are provided with extra cushioning for a relaxing journey ahead.

Stretch Seating.

• Passengers opting for the stretch seating can enjoy all the benefits of standard seating and 5-7 inches of extra legroom.
• Passengers are provided with extra services like, you can get off the flight early upon arrival.
• Stretch-seating passengers are offered in-flight services first.
• The seats are also laptop friendly for passengers to continue working inside the flight.

Baggage Policy

The baggage policy of Frontier Airlines is as follows,

Checked Baggage.

• Passengers have to buy their checked baggage during their flight ticket booking.
• The checked baggage must not weigh more than 40 pounds.
• The checked baggage must not measure more than 62 linear inches, including handles and wheels.

Cabin Baggage.

• Passengers have to buy their cabin baggage during their flight ticket booking.
• The cabin baggage must not weigh more than 35 pounds.
• The cabin baggage must not measure more than 24*16*10 inches, including handles and wheels.
• The cabin baggage must fit inside the overhead compartment.
• The airline also provides an option of 'Board First.' In this option, passengers can board the plane before Zone 1 with only carry-on baggage.

Personal Item.

• A personal item is included in the flight ticket free of cost.
• The personal item can be carried with the passenger on the flight.
• The personal item must not exceed 14*18*18 inches in dimensions and must fit under the seat in front of the passenger.

Food Policy

• You can get a combo of bundled snack and drinks which includes
  • 2 non-alcoholic beverages along with a snack
  • 2 non-alcoholic drinks and a snack box.
  • 1 snacks, 1 alcoholic, and 1 non-alcoholic drinks
  • 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 snacks
  • 2 alcoholic and 1 non-alcoholic drinks along with 1 snacks box
  • 2 cocktails and 2 snacks box
• You can get sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages.
• They also provide spirit, beer, cocktails, and wine.

Child Policy

Frontier Airlines is generous enough to guarantee adjacent seats to the passengers above 13 years traveling with one or more children below 13 years under the specified conditions:

• Subject to availability of the adjacent seats on the same cabin.
• Both the child and adult are on the same reservation.
• If the adult chooses seats for the entire reservation or skip seats for the entire reservation and no changes are made to the assigned seats.
• If there is a possibility of seating all the children along with the accompanying adult adjacent to each other.
• These seating assignments are allocated the day before your scheduled departure.

Lap Infants

• Children who are 7 days old up to 2 years are considered Lap Infants.
• It is mandatory for the passengers to carry an age proof of your infant, like date of birth, etc.
• The airline doesn't allow lap infants to any seat with airbag seat belt that is mostly row 1 on most Frontier aircrafts.
• If there are two adults with two lap children, you cannot sit on the same side of the row because the aircraft has only four oxygen masks every three seats.
• If you're traveling with two infants alone, then you have to keep one child on your lap and you have to purchase a ticket and approved car seat for your second child.
• Car seats are allowed inside the Frontier aircrafts, so you can buy a seat for your infant and secure them in an approved car seat. The Frontier Airlines seats range between 16.5-17.4 inches, you can plan for your car seat accordingly.
• There are some seating restrictions with car seats, you cannot place them in emergency exit rows or behind or in front of them or on the aisle side. The best place to secure your infant with a car seat is on the window side of the aircraft.
• The airline allows strollers but you must check them from the gate.
• If you're a breastfeeding mother, the airline welcomes you to breastfeed on the plane. You can carry breast pumps onboard.
• Some of the essential baby items that you can bring are- Diaper bag, Stroller, Child Restraint system as both checked and carry-on baggage.
• The non-essential baby items that you can carry are Playpen; however charges will apply when carried as checked or carry-on baggage.

Pet Policy

The Pet Policy of Frontier Airlines is as follows:

• The airline doesn't allow you to carry your pet as baggage, you have to pay for the pet and its travel container.
• You must go through the health requirements and other government policies of your destination while traveling with your pets on Frontier Airlines.
• The airline also suggests not feeding or giving water to your pets within four hours of your departure to avoid urination or poop on the flights.

If you're carrying your pet inside the cabin, the following are the airline policies:

• Ideally, the airline only allows domesticated cats and dogs inside the cabin who are at least 8 weeks older.
• If you're traveling within the United States, you can also carry Guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, and small domesticated birds.
• Prohibited animals on Frontier Airlines cabin are:

  • Tigers, etc.
• You can travel to and from international destinations on Frontier Airlines with your domesticated cats and dogs.
• The airline doesn't allow you to sit on row one or on the exit row if you're traveling with a pet.
• You can carry your pets inside the cabins of the airline on all domestic, Mexico, and Dominican Republic flights that fly to and fro across these destinations.
• The airline advises you to keep your pet inside the container for the complete duration of the flights and at the airport. If your pet is uncomfortable, it's your responsibility to soothe them.
• It is advised by most veterinarians to not sedate your pets as the tranquilizers can affect them differently on higher altitudes.
• The airline will not provide any oxygen to the pets during an emergency.
• It's your responsibility to keep your odorless, harmless, and non-disruptive.
• The travel containers of your pet must be large enough to fit into the space under the seat in front of you and your pet must be able to roam around inside the container with ease.
• Your pet container must not weigh more than 18x14x8 inches and it must be soft-sided ones for comfort.

Here are some of the policies about your pet's health certificate:

• It must be dated according to the country of your destination, like
  • For Puerto Rico, within 30 days
  • In the US, within 10 days
  • Dominican Republic within 15 days
  • In Costa Rica, within 14 days
  • For Mexico, within 5 days.
• It must include the species, name, date of vaccination, type of vaccine, and other immunization protocols.

Flight Change, Cancellation and Refund Policies

The Flight Change, Cancellation, and Refund Policies of Frontier Airlines are:

• If you’ve made your booking 60 days prior to your scheduled departure then you do not have to pay any flight change fees. So, the earlier you book, the easier it is to change your flight.
• From the 59th day to 7 days prior to your scheduled departure, the airline charges $49 per person per direction for flight change
• If you’re wishing to change your flight 6 days prior to departure, you have to pay $99 per person per direction.
• All cancellations and flight changes must be made prior to your scheduled departure. According to the airline, you must check-in 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure and board 20 minutes before flight departure, so if you fail to abide by these rules, you’ll be marked as a no-show. In this scenario, all future flights including return flights in this category will be considered as No Show by the airline.
• If you're willing for a flight change, you must understand that it is subject to availability and difference in fares.
• If you're traveling with Frontier Airlines and your new itinerary is lower on value than your old itinerary, the airline will not provide you with airline credit or voucher.
• In case of cancellation of your itinerary, you’ll receive a travel credit which will include cancellation fees, and other carrier charges deductions.
• All the changes and cancellations you wish to make with Frontier Airlines are subject to their Contract of Carriage.
• The cancellation fees of Frontier Airlines is flat $99 per person per direction whenever you book your ticket.
• If you're canceling your ticket within 24 hours of your booking, you’re eligible for a full refund without any deductions of cancellation fees.
• You have to cancel at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure otherwise the airline will charge service fees and the amount contributing to the no-show part of your itinerary.
• Your refunds are either in the form of airline credit or are to your original payment mode. If it is an airline credit, you can use it for future travel on Frontier Airlines within the mentioned date.
