- For some ANA domestic aircrafts in Japan, the dimensions of carry-on baggage must not exceed 39 inches on all sides including wheels and handles.
- You can carry only one cabin baggage and a personal item.
- You must purchase another seat if your carry-on baggage allowance exceeds the limits.
- You can carry liquids, gels, and aerosols in 100 ml containers, all other types must go in the checked baggage.
- You must keep those containers in a zip-lock plastic bag whose volume must not exceed 1 liter and dimensions must be 40 cm in total; also, they must fit into your carry-on bag.

Child Policy
The Child Policies of ANA are:
- At the airport, you will get assistance if you’re traveling with kids on ANA.
- Since the cabin space is limited on ANA, the airline requests you to check in your strollers with the checked baggage and strollers don't have to comply or fit under the checked baggage allowance.
- Although you can carry baby strollers as your cabin baggage only if they fall under the carry-on baggage allowance.
- ANA allows only one carry-on baggage inside the aircraft, so if you're bringing a stroller, you cannot carry any other cabin baggage.
- If you're traveling with a lap infant below 2 years of age, you have to pay 10% of the adult fare.
- When you're traveling with an infant below 2 years of age but you’re using a seat, you have to pay 75% of the adult fare. However, if you're traveling from North America to Japan, you have to pay adult fare as no child fares are accepted on that route.
- There are some ANA aircrafts, like B777-300ER/B787, that don't allow infants inside the aircraft, so you must check your ticket thoroughly.
- Infants below 8 days old are not permitted to travel on ANA aircrafts.
- Infants between 8 days and 2 years must be accompanied by an adult over 12 years. The airline allows only one infant per adult, especially for lap infants.
- For children from 2-11 years, an adult must be accompanying them and they must have a seat.
- Children above 11 years can travel alone on adult fare but they must follow the unaccompanied minor policies laid down by the airline.
If you're traveling with children below 2 years of age, follow the below rules:
- If you are traveling with a lap infant, carry the baby on your lap and fasten your seatbelts and hold your baby properly.
- If you’re having a baby carrier, first you fasten your belt well and then secure the baby carrier properly on your adjacent seat.
The airline provides Bassinets with baby blankets on request on all international aircrafts for lap infants. However, you have to reserve this facility by informing the airline 48 hours prior to your departure over the phone. The maximum weight of the bassinet is 10 kg and the number and position of these bassinets may be different depending on your aircraft. There is no bassinets facility on first class cabins. All ANA aircrafts have lavatories that have tables for changing baby diapers. The airline also supplies toys for your babies.
If you're willing to bring car seats as carry-on baggage, it must be certified in Japan, the US, Europe, or the CARES system. If you bring car seats on board, you have to reserve a seat in advance and a child fare. Mostly you should choose a window seat if you're carrying a child seat, in case you want an aisle seat, it is ideal to get a seat in the center block. It is mandatory to always secure the child seat with the seat belt at all times.
You can also bring portable beds for your children; however, you must choose a center seat or window seat to use these beds. You cannot use these beds during landing, take-off, taxing, or when the seat belt sign on the aircraft is green.
The airline also offers baby meals or child meals; however, you must reserve them 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure. These mainly include jars of puree or soup, but the menu can change according to the route and the availability. For children between 1 to 2 years old, you can get baby food on board upon request. They also accept orders for Allergen-free meals but you have to book 24 hours prior to departure if your flight is departing from Japan and 48 hours before departure if your flight is arriving in Japan.
You can get powdered milk on ANA aircrafts but you must carry your own because the availability is limited to specific quantities and types. The airline also provides diapers of Medium and Large sizes in case of emergency. The airline doesn't allow children to sit in the emergency exit rows. No two passengers traveling with infants are allowed to sit in the same row due to the limited oxygen masks in a row.
Pet Policy
The following are the pet policies of ANA:
- ANA understands that pets are a part of the family and they allow pets to travel on the aircrafts.
- The living conditions of pets inside the aircraft and outside is very different, so if there is any injury or health issues that occurs during travel, ANA is not responsible for the same.
- The entry of pets also depends on your destination laws. You cannot enter the UK, Hongkong, and Australia airports with pets, in such cases you have to book your pets as cargo and transport them.
- ANA allows mammals and birds as checked baggage. However, birds of prey, like owls, hawks, and eagles are not allowed.

The Flight Change, Cancellation, and Refund Policies of ANA are:
- Flight Change will be applicable by the airline only for a few fare types.
- If you want to change your flight, you must be willing to pay the handling fees, fare differences, and taxes for the same.
- The airline will verify your ticket and reservation first before making a flight change.
- Refunds by the airline are not possible outside the country of payment because of currency differences.
- Any refunds made outside of Japan will be given in the form of a cheque.
- Refunds will be made by the airline in the local currency.
- The airline accepts refund requests within one year and 30 days of the first flight sector date on the ticket.
- The handling fees for flight changes or cancellations or refunds may change depending on your country.
- When you book your ticket via credit card, refunds by the airline will be made to your credit card. It may take up to 1-2 months.
- When you book your ticket via cash, the airline will deposit cash in your account or give you a check for the same refund amount. In case of bank transfer, any fees charged by the bank will be deducted from your refund. You will receive your refund within 10 days.
